The pieces are designed and manufactured in detail upon Cornwall's magnificent heritage. The Pawns are depicted as Lighthouses - Rooks as Engine Houses from the Tin Mines of years gone by - Knights as the legendary Sword in the Stone - Bishops with The Celtic Cross - The King with the infamous but now sadly extinct Cornish Tin Miner and His Queen by a Baal Maid once of St Justin Tin Mine. The wooden chess board measures 400mm x 400mm, the Pawns stand 50mm high and the Main Pieces from 65mm - 75mm in height. The Solid Pewter Pieces are supplied in a truly beautiful wooden presentation box, are manufactured to the usual St Justin high standards (here in Cornwall) and will make a most wonderful gift or present for any occasion.
